The Asia-Pacific Network Operations and Management Symposium (APNOMS) is the premier conference on network operations and management in the Asia-Pacific region. APNOMS meets every year, typically during September and boasts a rich history of successes. It includes a full three-day program of keynotes, tutorials, technical sessions, panel discussions, poster sessions, and exhibits that focus on managing networks that span the computing and telecommunications areas. APNOMS 2014 will encourage open discussions on technology alternatives that focus on the management and operation of current and future networks and services. APNOMS welcomes submissions based on implementation and experimentation, as well as simulation and analytical approaches. The topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following items:
1) Network Management
2) Architectures, Methods & Technologies
|
3) Service Management
4) Business Management
5) Experiences
|
Technical Session: Authors are invited to submit complete unpublished papers in English, which are not under review in any other conferences or journals. Submission should be in form of a PDF file up to 6 pages, prepared in accordance with IEEE author guidelines. All presented papers in the conference will be published in the proceedings of the conference and submitted to the IEEE Xplore Digital Library. The APNOMS 2014 proceedings of technical session papers will also be published in IEICE I-Scover. Conference content will be submitted for inclusion into IEEE Xplore as well as other Abstracting and Indexing (A&I) databases. The copyright of accepted papers will be transferred to IEICE. A submitted paper may be accepted as a short paper (presented in a poster session). NOTE: To be published in the proceedings, for each accepted paper, an author is required to register for the conference at the full (member or non-member) rate and the paper must be presented at the conference by one of the authors. Online presentation (e.g. Skype) is not permitted without an unavoidable reason such as a natural disaster. Authors of the best accepted papers will be invited to submit extended versions of their papers to a Wiley’s International Journal of Network Management (IJNM) Special Issue.
Innovation Session: APNOMS 2014 will include innovation sessions to present and discuss ongoing research, work-in-progress ideas, practical solutions, and experimental studies. Authors are requested to submit PDF documents in a special format (should have a visual in the upper half of a page and the explanatory text in the lower half, and must not exceed 20 annotated visuals including title and references). The sample file can be obtained at http://people.cs.nctu.edu.tw/~apnoms2014/apnoms-IS-sample.pdf. Innovation papers will be included in conference proceedings but will NOT be indexed by any scholarly research database. The copyright of accepted papers will belong to the author(s). The author(s) may transfer the copyright to a journal publisher if the same content or its extended version is submitted separately to a journal.
