Undergraduate Independent Study Project
In this project, we were trying to come up with a solution that combine all the devices in our life, including smart phone, computer, and webTV, which we believe all the TV will finally turn into.
Then we noticed that when people watch webTV, they may get annoyed easily by using the mouse and keyboard along with the webTV. Thus we want to make the most familiar, the most personal device as a webTV controller.
We can see in the film how to surf on the net, choose and watch the film you like easily with your smart phone. The most coolest feature is "Seamless Content Handover", with which you can "pull" the content from TV to your smart phone, and also toss the content to TV convertly!

This is a power manager system for smart home. It is one of the sub-project in my lab (BRASS Lab, with Prof. Shiao-Li Tsao) We're trying to help users to understand the energy usage in their home with the NILM system (Non-Intrusive Load Monitoring), to find out what kind of behavior are actually wasting money the most.
Then we attend to the entrepreneur contest, which were held by National Science Council. This contest would actaully fund the winner team to build up a company. During the competition, we're asked to come up with our business model, and the road map for our expanding plan. I learned a lot in this contest, understand much more praticle things about running an company. Thus I think that will be an option to start my own business if I have a really surprising idea.

This tracking car(prototype) was the term project of microprocessor when I was a junior. We were asked to make anything with the given 8051 chip.
Though it was neither difficult nor innovative, it was the first time I realize the ectasy of creating something my myself.
(Sorry for the poor quality, there's nothing official for this project. We had live demo at that time.)
Other Works
There's one thing we can't resist except for sleeping after Yahoo! Hack Day, which is taking pictures while hanging out with friends. However most people have a hard time shooting ideal photos they want...
[ Scenario I ]
When shooting the landscapes like ocean or mountains far away, it's lame when we slant the horizontal line in the picture. If you don't feel like rotate your photo afterward, you should try the "Horizontal-Trigger" feature from CameraS. Once you tune into the horizontal position by checking the spirit level, CameraS takes the photo itself.
[ Scenario II ]
When hanging out with friends, it's always awkward to ask people for help when we need to take a photo which includes everyone in it. CameraS knows what you just need, the "Wifi Remote Control" feature allow the devices of all of your friend to remote control the your own device which serves as camera. After the picture taken, everyone gets a copy instantly.
This Project is made by my friends and I, 5 people in total. We were trying to make a game on Android that helps players get familiar with our campus via completing the mission in the game.
The position of player on campus was determined by GPS, and there were lots of missions at each spot when players wander around.
All the picture, and views in this project was all drawn by me. Though we didn't win any award with this, it's still fun co-working with friends and made up such a game.
This is the work when we attended to Y.S. Award
This Android APP is another work developed by my friend(P.C. Cheng) and I. This is an simple APP that can display a candle on the screen and shooting with camera. And the number candle can be blown out by blowing at the sound reciever, and long press to take a picture This tiny APP got over 5000 download times. Also, the graphic design here are made by me.
