Wireless Communication Systems
Lab 1: Modulation and SNR
Introduction
In this lab, you will learn how to implement a simulator for
simple narrow-band communications. You will learn how to generate
Gaussian random channels and noises, how to modulate/demodulate
samples and how to decode samples. You will also need to derive the
expected SNR, SER and data rate.
Files to submit
- mod_demod.m
- report.pdf (including all figures along with captions and your
summarization)
Figures to show
- Constellation points for every different link distsance
- SNR bar graph
- SER bar graph
- data-rate bar graph
See details in lab1_info.pdf in new E3.
