Introduction ---
With my wife and daughter, we had a 6-day trip to visit the southern part of our island country - Pingtung and Tainan about a week before the 2013 Lunar New Year. The main theme of this trip is to have a deeper understanding of to local nature (mainly wetlands and bays) and culture (mainly Fo Guan Shan and Meinong).
In this trip, we got to understand more about our country, Taiwan. It is about 25 years from our last around-island trip. We have even seen the famous endangered birds, Black-faced spoonbills, during the trip.
This was indeed a fruitful tour. We hope to have more visits to other parts of the country in the future because there are still so many wonderful places to visit.
