Introduction ---

Kaohsiung is a port city and it has great development in the past decade. Mama never visited it and I went there mostly for attending conferences and giving speeches at Sun Yat-Sen University. This was a formal sightseeing trip of our family.

In the 2-day visit, we found Kaohsiung is a modern city. We visited Love River which is famous to every Taiwanese. We went around Cijin, a long-beach area separating Kaohsiung Port from the outer sea. We shopped at an interesting traditional mall, Shinkuchan, and a new modern one, the Dream Mall, which is claimed to be the largest in East Asia. We also visited National Science and Technology Museum.

But we hope we can come again. Kaohsiung is a good place, and there are more to see.
