Introduction ---
East Europe has been
a mysterious area to me in the world, and this summer we got the opportunity to
visit three of the countries there
¾
Slovenia, Croatia,
and Montenegro.
These countries came
from the breakup of the former communist country Yugoslavia. They all have good historical
heritages and scenic natural spots. In this 13-day trip, I and my wife
encountered the most unforgettable long-distance touring in very hot weathers.
We also visited 6 UNESCO world heritage sites.
On the other hand, we were lucky to be in a group with members who mostly are
senior people, like teachers and artists, and gave us many experiences of
sightseeing, art appreciation, and daily life.
