Introduction ---

Zhangjiajie (張家界) has long been one of the dream destinations we’ve wished to explore in China — and now, that wish has finally come true!

Zhangjiajie, located in Hunan Province, is famous for its unique and breathtaking sandstone pillar landscapes, dense forests, and cloud-kissed mountains. It’s no surprise that this stunning place inspired scenes in the movie Avatar. To us, Zhangjiajie had always seemed like a mystical land — distant yet irresistible — waiting quietly for our arrival.

In June 2019, we finally made our 7-day journey to Zhangjiajie a reality. From June 2nd to 8th, we immersed ourselves in the wonders of this natural masterpiece. Though this trip focused only on Zhangjiajie and its surroundings, the depth of beauty and serenity we experienced made it feel much longer than just one week.

With this trip, we not only added another incredible destination to our travel memories, but also enjoyed a joyful time with good company, surrounded by nature at its most majestic. Mountains, rivers, and clouds accompanied us every day — what more could we ask for?
