n磁圈記憶體(Core Memory)
l (西元1959年) 磁圈記憶體仍由很多排列整齊的磁圈所組成，而每一磁圈則為一磁性材料所製成的細小環形體，根據磁圈之順反時針磁化方向以代表 “1” 或
“0”。IBM 1620 之主記憶體採用磁圈記憶體，儲存容量為2萬字母
(每字母6位元)。

(1959 A.D.) A core memory is composed of an array of magnetic cores. A
magnetic core is a tiny doughnut-shaped ring made of ferrite. A bit of 1 or 0 can be stored in a
core by magnetizing the core in either clockwise or counterclockwise directions. IBM 1620 adopts core
memory to store
20K characters (6 bits/character).
