Bio
Hi, I am Yung-Ju (Stanley) Chang. I am an assistant professor in the Dept. of Computer Science at the National Chiao Tung University in Taiwan. I received the degree of B.S. in Computer Science in 2005 from National Chiao Tung University in Taiwan. I then earned my M.S. (2009) and Ph.D. (2016) degree in the School of Informationat the University of Michigan in the United States. In 2013, I was a research intern at Microsoft Research. In 2016, I worked as a Research Associate at the University of Michgian. In Aug. 2016, I start to teach in the Computer Science Department at National Chiao Tung University. During my years in Michigan, I was associated with the Michigan Interactive Social Computing group and the Interaction Ecologies Group led by Prof. Mark W Newman
At the intersection of HCI and Ubicomp, my research interests are in three areas: context-aware computing, mobile computer-mediated communication (CMC), and mobile crowdsourcing/sensing. However, in general, I have a broad interest in HCI. For example, I have ongoing projects focusing on behavioral change and mobile social media use. I am also working on a mobile research tool called Minuku that aims to support collecting various types of contextual data and generating context-triggered prompts. If you are interested in any of the areas, or, if you are simply passionate about HCI or user experience (UX) in general, contact me.
